APKC® CALENDAR CONTEST FAQs
When does the calendar contest run?
It occurs in October of every year. The submission period is open for approximately 1 week. It’s announced on our Facebook and Instagram pages and by a banner within the website.
How many submissions can I send in?
1 photo per dog. Each image must have the dog’s name as the file name.
When will we know the contest winners?
This varies, due to the time constraints of the calendar contest team. Winners are notified by email in December.
Be sure to add our email (info@americanpomskykennelclub.org) to your contacts, so that the emails do not end up in your spam filter!
I can’t get the photo submitted, what do I do?
We are seeing that the errors pop up when you try to submit more than 1 file per submission. Refresh the page and submit only 1 image.
If you have tried on your phone without success, try from a desktop PC.
If you were not able to press the SUBMIT button (due to being grayed out), then the file was not submitted. Try again.
If all else fails, send it to us via email at info@americanpomskykennelclub.org
What disqualifications are there to this contest?
More than 1 picture per dog.
Watermarks or kennel names on the photo.
People in the images.
Pictures of dogs that are not yours.
Fuzzy, out-of-focus images cannot be used in the contest.
How are winners determined?
A committee of voters looks at each photo and determines the top 12 to be placed on calendar cover months, which is seasonally based.
From there, in-focus high-quality images, adorable, and great examples of Pomskies will be picked and placed within the calendar in as many places as we can fit but are not considered winners.
What do the calendar winners get?
A free calendar.
How do I purchase these calendars?
We will announce the page where orders can be placed on our social media platform as soon as ordering is possible.
What happens to the money generated from the calendar sales?
100% of the profits go directly into our APKC® Rescue Fund to help Pomskies in shelter systems to be placed in loving permanent homes.

By submitting images to the American Pomsky Kennel Club® Calendar Contest, it will also be agreeing to the following:
I grant permission to use any submitted images or photographs taken, in any and all of its publications, including website entries, without payment or other considerations.
I understand and authorize the American Pomsky Kennel Club® to edit, alter, copy, exhibit, publish, or distribute the submitted photo for any lawful purpose.
In addition, I waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of the photograph. I hereby release rights to all claims, demands, compensation, or causes to action to which I, my heirs, my business, representatives, executors, administrators, or any other person or entity acting on behalf of my estate have or may have by reason of this authorization.
